A guide to the apartment

Welcome.

A short guide to living comfortably in the apartment — networks, climate, the television and the kitchen, all in one place.

Begin
00 Quick access

What do you need first?

The six things tenants reach for most often. Each card links to the relevant section below.

01 Wi-Fi Two networks — Fastweb and the mesh. 02 Climate Heating, cooling, and the wall thermostats. 03 Hot water Rinnai gas boiler — instant. 04 Television Hisense 85″ Mini-LED, Vidaa OS. 05 Voice Echo Dot — lights and a few others. 06 Kitchen Oven, hob, dishwasher, fridge, wine.
01 Networks

Two networks, one apartment.

Both networks reach every room. Use the Fastweb line for anything that streams; the mesh handles everyday browsing and smart-home devices with automatic roaming.

ASM_HighSpeed Streaming

Fastweb router (AX1800), located in the living room. Best for streaming, video calls, and any high-bandwidth activity.

ASM

Mesh access points (1 Gbit/s) distributed across the rooms. Use this for everyday browsing and smart-home devices; your phone will roam automatically as you move through the apartment.

02 Climate & hot water

Heating, cooling, hot water.

Two systems work together: a Clivet VRF heat pump for the rooms and a Rinnai gas boiler for the taps. The thermostats on the walls control the zones; nothing else needs to be touched day-to-day.

A — Clivet VRF heat pump

Whole-apartment heating & cooling.

B — Rinnai gas boiler

Hot water, on demand.

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit, sed do eiusmod tempor incididunt ut labore et dolore magna aliqua. The boiler heats only what you draw; there is no storage tank to wait for.

C — Room thermostats

Which controller, which room.

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Each wall controller is labelled with the zone it covers; the touchscreen in the hallway shows them all at a glance.

Sed do eiusmod tempor incididunt ut labore et dolore magna aliqua — placeholder list of which thermostat covers which room will be filled in here once finalised.

03 Television

Hisense 85″, Mini-LED.

An 85-inch ULED Mini-LED 4K television running Vidaa OS, with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. Three things to know.

Turning it on

The remote wakes the screen with any button; the Vidaa home screen carries Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+ and YouTube pre-installed. Sign in once with your own credentials and the apps will remember you. If a service is missing, the app store sits on the same home screen.

Sound

Dolby Atmos is enabled by default and routes through the built-in speakers; the room is small enough that no external soundbar is needed. To adjust the balance, open Settings → Sound from the home screen.

Voice search

Hands-free voice is available with the wake word, or through the microphone button on the remote. Hold the button and ask for a title, an app, or a setting.

04 Voice control

Alexa, Echo Dot.

An Amazon Echo Dot (5th gen) is installed for voice control of the lights, the bathroom underfloor heating, and a few other smart-home devices.

Say "Alexa," then the command. Wait for the chime.

Six appliances, one kitchen.

Tap any card to open quick-start tips. Models are Siemens iQ-series, with a Pando wine cabinet underneath.

Oven SIEMENS HB234ABB3 · iQ300 A 71-litre built-in oven with seven heating modes — 3D hotAir, conventional, grill, and a dedicated pizza setting. 50–275 °C, ecoClean liner, humidClean steam-assisted cleaning, triple-glazed CoolTouch door.
01 Use fastPreheat on the dial to reach temperature in a third of the usual time — recommended for anything above 200 °C.
02 Engage the child lock with a long press on the clock icon; the display will dim to indicate the lock is active.
03 The integral cooling fan continues to run after use — do not be alarmed; it stops automatically once the cavity has cooled.
Microwave SIEMENS BF525LMB1 · iQ500 A compact 20-litre built-in microwave with 800 W maximum power, five power levels, and seven CookControl automatic programs. The side-hinged door makes eye-level access easy.
01 All controls live on the touchSlider — tap once to set time, drag along the slider to set power.
02 Hydrolytic cleaning: place a bowl of water inside, run the dedicated program, wipe down once it ends.
03 The memory function stores your last three settings — useful for reheating coffee or melting butter.
Induction hob SIEMENS EU63KBEB5E · iQ100 A four-zone induction cooktop with nine power levels and a PowerBoost function for rapid heating. Centralised touchSlider, automatic pan detection, child lock, safety shut-off.
01 Use only induction-compatible cookware — if a magnet sticks to the base, it will work.
02 Wipe spills immediately; cooled food residue is much harder to remove without scratching the glass.
03 Never slide cast-iron pans across the surface — lift them when repositioning to avoid scoring.
Dishwasher SIEMENS SN73EX06VE · iQ300 · sliding hinge A fully integrated 14-place dishwasher with iQdrive brushless motor at 44 dB. Six programs — Eco, Auto, Intensive, Speed, Quick. AutoOpen Dry, Home Connect compatible.
01 Detergent compartment opens with a flick — add one tablet per cycle in the main bay.
02 Top up salt (under the bottom basket) and rinse aid (inside the door) when the indicator on the panel lights up.
03 Clean the filter at the base of the cavity once a month — twist anti-clockwise to remove.
Fridge-freezer SIEMENS KG36NVIEC · iQ300 A 324-litre freestanding fridge-freezer with total No Frost, hyperFresh humidity-controlled drawers, and a freshSense temperature sensor. Energy class E, 39 dB.
01 Press superCooling before loading a large shop — it drops the cabinet to 2 °C for six hours.
02 The hyperFresh slider sets the drawer to dry for fruit or moist for leafy vegetables.
03 Leave at least 4 cm of clearance at the back; blocking the vents will spike energy use.
Wine cooler PANDO PVZB 30-16 CRL A dual-zone undercounter wine cabinet for 16 bottles. Independent temperatures from 5–20 °C, soft-close door, beech-wood shelves, triple-glazed UV-filtered door, activated-carbon filter.
01 Set the upper zone to 8–10 °C for whites and the lower to 15–17 °C for reds.
02 Replace the activated-carbon filter once a year; a spare clips into the back wall on arrival.
03 The door alarm chimes after 60 seconds open — useful when restocking, easy to silence with a close.
